Frank Turner Plays Solo at Mercury

OMC_18_coverSmallUK singer-songwriter Frank Turner will play Mercury Live on Sunday 23 March. Turner will unfortunately miss the Cape Town leg of Parklife with KT Tunstall and Donavon Frankenreiter, but committed to the Sunday show to make it up to Cape Town fans.

Turner is the former vocalist of Million Dead, a post-hardcore band. These days he is usually supported by his backing band, The Sleeping Souls, which consists of Ben Lloyd (guitar, mandolin), Tarrant Anderson (bass), Matt Nasir (piano) and Nigel Powell (drums).

Turner has released five solo albums, two rarities compilation albums, one split album and five EPs.

Local songman Jon Shaban will support Turner at Mercury, before embarking on a mini national tour of his own.

23 March 2014. Mercury Live. 19:00.
